The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has evolved rapidly over the past few days. There is an understandably serious concern and everyone is figuring out how our community could be impacted. The health and well-being of our clients, volunteers, staff and students is really important to SMLS. SMLS is following government and recognised medical advice, and we will try to keep communicating with you as the situation develops. We know that changes to our services could have a huge impact on our community so we are doing everything we can to limit the disruption to our programs. However, we have had to make a number of changes to our programs and services in line with current advice and government directives.
1. If you need legal help, please contact us to get help on the phone.
2. The SMLS night service has been temporarily suspended.
3. Outreach programs have moved to phone advice. Outreach partners are encouraged to refer to us in the normal way, and we will be assisting clients over the phone.
Stay safe and take care of each other.
