SENIOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT
Springvale Monash Legal Service (SMLS) is seeking a Senior Community Development Worker (maternity leave) to join its team for six to seven months.
Springvale Monash Legal Service works in partnership with communities in the South East of Melbourne to find solutions for issues that affect them, and work together to address systemic disadvantage. While we provide legal assistance to individuals, we recognise that structural inequalities cannot be addressed through casework alone.
Using a preventive approach, we undertake community development projects, provide legal education and contribute to law reform to strengthen our community. Community development plays a key role in our work towards a legal system which is fair and accessible for all.
About the Role:
This is a very exciting time to be joining SMLS.
We have a flagship program ‘Sporting Change’ that will be rolled out to an additional site.
You will be integral to the implementation of a new business plan and the driver of a number of advocacy projects.
You will need a working understanding of monitoring and evaluation and also have proven supervision experience.
SMLS encourages someone ready to gain their next level of experience in a Centre of excellence.
SMLS would consider a secondment.
